1. THE QLD RESIDENTIAL TENANCY AUTHORITY GUIDELINES
All landlords (or lessors) in Queensland have many rights and responsibilities to consider.The Residential Tenancies Authority provides a guide for landlords renting out residential properties in Queensland.
General renting rules for lessors or managers are as follows:
Respect tenants’ privacy and comply with entry requirements
Carry out repairs and maintenance
Meet all health and safety laws
Lodge bond with the RTA
Ensure that the property is clean and fit and safe to live in and in a good state of repair
Maintain the premises in good repair and in a way that the premises remain fit for the tenant to live in
